Egypt's story goes back many thousands of years
From a time when Pharaohs ruled and the many gods were worshiped. The best known symbols are probably the pyramids of Giza. These giant legendary mastodonts that are now in the middle of the desert. But when they were built they lay on the banks of the Nile and it is still unclear how it was at all possible to build such large buildings at a time without machine power.
But the pyramids are not the only mighty buildings in Egypt, for the temples along the Nile are also built in such large dimensions that it is difficult to understand how it could be done. From the great Temple complex Karnak in Luxor to the very southernmost in Abu Simbel, where Ramses d. 2 let the gigantic statues be understood by himself being understood, scouting against Nubia and scaring away the enemy of the time.
There is plenty of exciting history to address in Egypt and it does not make it any less interesting that this story helped form the basis of Europe's, and thus our own history.

What can I see in aswan
Abu Simple tempel
King Ramses II built the temple whicht is dedicated to the sun gods. Osiride statues of the king exist and painted scenes of his victory at the battle of Kadesh could be noticed. On two days of the year, the first rays of the morning sun penetrate the whole length of the temple and illuminate the shrine.
Nubian village
Deep south of Egypt where Aswan city, you'll find that Aswan is surrounded by many Small islands and Nubian villages on the west bank. The Nubian villages is such a cheerful sight for being painted with bright colors, and inhabited by Nubians whom population doesn't exceed of 100,000. They speak their own Nubian Languages and have specific traditions that are different from rest of Egypt. Their origin goes back to Africa and Sudan when they traveled in antiquity to south Egypt for farming around the Nile. The Nubian Villages are considered to be Aswan city attraction and perfect for half Aswan day tours if you are passing by the city.
PHILAE TEMPLE
Sits on Aglika island just south of the old Aswan Dam and it was built to honor the goddess Isis. It was the last temple built in the classical Egyptian style. The complex was moved from its original location on Philae Island, to its new location after the flooding of lake Nasser.
This temple can be visited twice, once during the day time and also during night time as they offer light and sound show which describes the story of the temple.
Usually guests visit Philae temple as part of a 1 day tour which includes other sightseeing sports within Aswan
